Kowa TSN-VA2-CR Conversion Ring

The Kowa TSN-VA2-CR Conversion Ring allows you to use the Kowa 77mm & 82mm spotting scopes for digiscoping purposes without using your existing visual eyepieces. Instead, you would use TSN-VA1 or TSN-VA2, which are devices which function like eyepieces but are exclusively for digiscoping. Both TSN-VA1 and TSN-VA2 have two crucial digiscoping advantages versus digiscoping through conventional eyepieces: their effective magnification is much lower, and their eye relief is much longer. This allows you to get a more reasonable effective focal length in your digiscoping combination, with more light coming in to the digital camera and absolutely no chance of vignetting.

All endeavors in the world of digiscoping require practice, patience, and a steady rig. A sturdy tripod with a pan/tilt head is the most important component. You must take great care to keep vibrations during exposure to an absolute minimum. Employing a cable release, electronic release or remote control for tripping the shutter is absolutely necessary. And while it is not necessary per se, the TSN-DA3 Mounting Bracket will do wonders to reduce vibrations of your rig.
